A proposed design must obtain approval from the Laurel Island Board of Architectural Review (LIBAR). For approval, the design must meet the requirements established by the LI Design Principles.
LIBAR meetings will be advertised and open to the public. Appeals of a LIBAR decision can be made to the City's BAR.
The LIBAR is to be comprised of five (5) members, three (3) shall be designated by the Laurel Island Property Owner's Association and two (2) shall be designated by the City of Charleston.
